Betsy retired as Executive Director in 2015, after 21 years at Resolutions Northwest. We want to invite you to honor and celebrate all that Betsy has done in the Portland area. Help her fund her legacy project, The Youth Internship Trust. Betsy connected with RNW when the focus was on providing victim offender meetings for youth involved in the justice system and the people impacted by their actions. These meetings created a space to gain understanding and together work to make things as right as they could be.
Most youth relayed what a powerful learning experience it was—actually talking with the person(s) they harmed, understanding the impact and the ripple effects of their behavior, and then coming up with a creative solution to repair the harm. This was not her first foray into doing work that gave youth hope and opportunity, but she was forever hooked.
Our youth internships will give underserved youth an opportunity to lead, learn new skills in a supportive work environment, and give back to their community. It will be a win-win-win—for youth, for RNW and for our community.
Help us celebrate Betsy and help her fund her legacy project.
