Artful Facilitation Coffee Collaborative

Starts: December 11, 2018 9:00 am | Ends: December 11, 2018 11:00 am

What facilitation challenges are you currently facing? Do you have a recent facilitation project you want to debrief? Are you looking for design suggestions for an upcoming event? Are you struggling to decenter whiteness in mainstream meeting culture?

Join other fabulous facilitators, RNW volunteers and staff for coffee, community building and collaboration. The coffee collaborative is free and open to all who have previously attended an RNW facilitation training (3-day Artful Facilitation or 2-day Dialogue Facilitation) or participated in a volunteer cohort.

These sessions are a great opportunity to:

  • Share challenges, successes and lessons learned among peers
  • Talk through meeting or group process design options, to clarify and advance your meeting’s purpose
  • Brainstorm facilitation strategies for shifting power, centering the most impacted, and advancing equity
  • Explore ways to respond to challenging interactions or group dynamics
  • Build community with others to help sustain you in your work

We’ll be meeting monthly, every second Tuesday from 9-11 am. We’ll provide coffee and tea, you bring your challenges, questions, experiences and expertise to share with the group (you are also welcome to bring your own food).

If you are able to join us at the next session, please RSVP below so we know how many of you to expect.

Hope to see you on December 11th!

Please note: RNW’s facilitation trainings have continued to evolve to better align with our mission. Our most recent training, Artful Facilitation Grounded in Racial Equity, began by acknowledging the ways white supremacy culture tends to be embedded in group processes and looking for ways to transform our practice. We may refer to the article White Supremacy Culture in the praxis workshop. We encourage you to read it here
