Equity-Informed Conflict Resolution in the Workplace

In this practical and interactive training, you will gain tools to have hard conversations, say what you need to say, and listen with your whole self. Bring your questions and examples, and learn to apply these skills to keep your job while staying in your power.

Registration Details:

Regular registration: The fee for this workshop is $260. We ask each person to pay what you are able. Space is limited.

Work Trade: We also offer a work-trade slot that allows one person to attend for free in exchange for helping with things like shopping for refreshments, making copies, etc. You must enter the lottery by Sunday, February 25. For more information or to register: Work trade lottery

Sandy BacharachSandy Bacharach is a white woman from southern California who came to Portland for college and stayed long after. Sandy has studied and traveled extensively throughout Latin America and worked as the Spanish Language Mediation Specialist with Resolutions Northwest for 12 years. Through that position and now as a Facilitation & Training Specialist, Sandy has developed and led trainings in English and Spanish on communication and conflict resolution, advanced bilingual mediation, interrupting racism, and addressing the intersection of race/racism in mediation.

Melody MartínezMelody is the first-generation daughter of immigrants from the Dominican Republic. She grew up in a small town outside of Boston. A career change led her to Oregon, where she became involved with social justice groups as a volunteer fundraiser and grantmaker and where she continues to support local community organizing. In her current role at Oregon Food Bank, she works to ensure equitable food distribution programming and facilitates discussion on organizational culture, racism, and equity. Melody is also an Associate Trainer at Class Action where she leads interactive workshops that raise awareness and inspire participants to take action to end classism and racism. She is currently enrolled in Resolutions Northwest’s Equity-based Dialogue Volunteer Facilitation Cohort and enjoys the transformational learning that happens when people are supported in their identities and given opportunities to engage in hard conversations related to their experiences.
