A compassionate and structured process to explore community, family, and org conflicts where mediators apply an equity framework to offer support to all parties.
Because conflict is part of larger social and institutional influences, mediators approach it ready to engage in discussions of race and social justice.

YOUR MEDIATORS
Sunsong (they/them)
Sunsong is a transplant to Portland: Born in Ohio & raised in Knoxville, Tennessee. After attending Oberlin College in 1995, they moved to Portland where they performed for Imago Theater & worked in social services with developmentally disabled adults. As a queer, polyamorous, mixed race, intersexed person, they bring both lived experience as well as experience from a background working with Target communities to their work, especially in their recent time as an advocate & case manager for houseless youth. They have co-led trainings on racial & social justice. Before being hired on full time, they worked as a contractor doing mediations at Resolutions Northwest. They were a past equity informed mediation cohort member & have a dedication to building bridges across communities.
Marita (they/them)
Marita is a Seattle-raised queer Filipinx femme who centers equity, laughter & kindness in their work & life. They have worked primarily in non-profit social service organizations for the past 16 years, with a three year stint as an esthetician & makeup artist. They have experienced & witnessed the restorative power of connection, forgiveness, & moving through discomfort to heal harms, & they are energized by helping others in these ways. Marita lives with their cat, Maple, & finds joy on the tennis court & in bodies of water.
